Easy Cycle Rides

Easy Rides - know your cycling level

These easy rides offer a new experience for those who want to ride easy, while being active on a road bike during their holiday in the Lake District. Our guides will show you the wonderful scenery and explain the history of the Lake District while you gain experience of cycling the country lanes. You will have enough time to rest and take photos, and there will be café stops. These rides are an excellent opportunity to ride with friends or the family and maybe experience E-Bikes for the first time.

Guided Leisure Rides...... cycling adventures for all.

From our base in Lowick Green, on the southern edge of the Lake District National Park, we are surrounded by some of Britain's most beautiful countryside.

This, coupled with the spiders web of Cumbrian country lanes, offers an unprecedented opportunity for quiet leisurely cycling. Every ride is a new adventure and while some little hills may require walking up they are always rewarded with a fine descent. There are lots of opportunities to stop off at local pubs and cafes or just chill out by a lake or shore.

These rides can be so much more enjoyable if guided by a knowledgeable local cyclist. We can guide you to and fro, on rides uniquely chosen to suit your cycling ability and fitness, at a speed that you will enjoy. Most rides are about 20 miles long which, when cycled at a leisurely pace, can take the best part of a day.

The rides listed below are a mere indication of what is available in the locality, as on the day of the ride we may amend the route to accommodate the weather.

Remember, every road cycle adventure is custom made for you, your family or your group.

quotemarks lMy son and I enjoyed a fantastic guided ride this week with John. We experience quiet roads that we would never have found on our own. We passed lakes mountains the seaside and a 12th century abbey all within the 54 mile round trip. John explained the history and the geography of all the sites we were enjoying, and the watering holes for morning coffee and lunch were great. We brought our own bikes that were put to shame against the wonderful selection of titanium and carbon road bikes that John offers for hire. We live in North Manchester so we can get to the Lake District in under two hours, so it is our intention to return as soon as possible to continue to explore the South Lakes with John's guidance.quotemarks r
